Some people say that staying in a hotel when you are in a foreign country, is not the best way to know the country and its people.
What is your opinion?
In this contemporary world, travelling to other nation has becoming most fascinating phenomenon. Few folks indicate that accommodating in a hotel when you are in a new country, perhaps it is not the best method to gain knowledge about that nation and indigenous whilst I agree with is notion which I will elaborate with suitable illustration in the following paragraphs.
On the one hand, whenever you stay in a hotel. Firstly, you have all predefined services and most of the time not only hotel try to satisfy you with best services but also try to give you homely environment. Owing to this you get in touch lesser with local people which limit your horizons and not able to meet with strangers. Mostly hotel staff speak English international language and also have common meals. For instance, when my neighbor travelled in Dubai and returned, he was not fully aware about their culture, because Hotel has taken care for everything. Secondly, you just listen a narration from hotel staff or guide about their custom and rituals. Like this you have less direct contact.
On the other hand and my own belief that if you live in any home stay or hire a room with local people then that movement you have to go outside for buying some basic grocery from market as well as during your rest time you can gossip with your host, like this you can broaden your horizons. For example, one survey declared that Airbnb has been growing drastically because most individuals would like to stay with local people whenever they travel to abroad. If they hire such room stay then they can save their hard earn money as well as getting more knowledge about their tradition. Moreover, they also feel like adventurous to visit all sight seen by themselves which work as a stress buster. Finally, they can taste those foods which they want to. Whether you can cook or visit street market.
In conclusion, although hotel stay is the most convenient, you cannot know that country wherever you are travel. Unless you stay in local home, you cannot get real feeling about their routines.
