Some people think that air travel should grow without a limit while others believe that governments should limit it Discuss both views and give your own opinion

While some believe the growth of aviation industry should happen exponentially without any curtailment, others think the administration should contain it. In my opinion, although grown of this sector is essential, other alternatives to this type of commute needs to be promoted.

On the one hand, it is believed by many that limitless growth of air travel is crucial. This is because with this type of mechanical equipment we can travel farthest distances in the shortest possible time. Additionally, with contemporary developments we get world-class facilities round the clock while we are in transit. For instance, if I plan to go my native place by flight, which is 2000kms away from my work place, I save more than 18 clock hours and it is a significant amount of time saving that I get. In contrast, sometime we notice in the news that people get stranded for several hours at the airport because of air traffic congestion. If such incidents happen with us, we end-up spending similar hours that as a bus or a train.

On the other hand, many people think and I agree that the aviation industry should grow in a controlled manner. This is because jet needs fossil fuel to operate and as a byproduct of their operation, we get CO2, which is responsible for global warming. A study conducted, for example, by Oxford university suggests that jet fuel consumption contributes to global warming by 12 percent. They have further added, if we promote this industry, we may exaggerate global warming to a certain extent. Thus, government must limit flight usage only for key routes.

In conclusion, though air travel brings us time savings, it costs the environment. Therefore, I personally think we must find alternatives such as Hyperloop and Bullet train to air travel which are non-polluting, work on renewable resources and are as fast as a aeroplane.
