Successful sports stars and glamorous film stars are a role model for youngsters. Do u support it or not? (Agree/Disagree)

A lot of young people nowadays look up to celebrities as their role models, even though there are aspects of these celebrity's lives that can motivate youngsters. I do not believe they should be looked up to as role model.

First of all,a lot of glamorous stars do hard drugs so much so that quite a handful of them have had to go to rehab. In recent times a lot of A-list artists have been convicted for the use hard drugs. This is not something youngsters should emulate.

In addition, a lot of these stars suffer from depression which results in some of them going as far as taking their own lives. In the past year for instance about three successful musicians took their own lives as a result of depression.

Also, glamorous stars are not known to be some of the most well behaved people. More often than not we find them in the news for all the wrong reasons. sometimes for driving offences, domestic violence or even sexual assault.

In conclusion, celebrities should be looked up to by the youth for motivation or inspiration however they should not be seen as role models because these individual are also human and they have their own flaws.
