Today more and more tourists are visiting places where conditions are difficult, such as Sahara desert or the Antarctic. What are the benefits and disadvantages for tourists who visit such places?

In present times, a large number of people are heading to the places which are inhabitable. This trend has both pros and cons and this essay will discuss them.

On the one hand, there are many advantages to visiting adventure places. Firstly, when one undertakes the toughest trip it boosts one’s abilities as well as one’s confidence. Even though, the tour can be tiresome physically and mentally, the euphoria that one experiences on completion cannot be described in words. Secondly, this kind of tourism teaches not only being self-reliant but also being a problem solver in robust conditions. For example, we all friends took a bike drive from Manali to Leh last year. During this journey, we all faced multiple obstacles which ultimately taught us to be self-dependent and multi-talented.

On the flip side, adventurous excursions can be extremely precarious. Things may not happen as planned in that travel. It has been observed by many experts that in pursuit of pleasure many backpackers take the high risk of their precious lives. As per the recent survey, 90 percent of people die while trekking Mount Everest as only a few have got success to reach the top peak of the mountain. This sort of trip may make them disabled for their rest of life. Sometimes, it happens that these adventurers are lost in robust places and for searching them governments have to incur huge money in rescue operations.

In conclusion, such a venturesome tour may either turn to be extremely thrilling or dangerous. Still, many people undertake such a journey to explore the unknown and taste their boundaries.
