Writing task 1 (a letter)

You need to attend a family event. Your child will be missing school for a day. Write a letter to the school principal and say

– What is the event?
– Why is it important for your child to be there?
– How will your child make up for missed lessons?

Hello Miss Rosy,
Principal of St. Mary School,

Greetings for the day. !!

I am Divya, mother of one of your pupil, Jay Patel, he is studying in 5th standard. I am writing this letter to grant your permission for 3 days leave my son as we have to attend marraige of my his maternal uncle in our hometown.

As per our family tradition, some of the important rituals needs to be performed by small kids of the family and in our family Jay is the only grandson so it's important for him to attend this marraige and fulfill our traditions. I know due to this event, he will miss school for 3 days and next month his annual exams are coming so you will not advise take him with us but I assure you that once we will return from an event I will personally look into his missed lessons. I will take notes of missed classes from his classmate Darshan's mother and will teach the same to Jay so this event will not affect his exams.

I request you to accept this leave application.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind Regards,
Divya
