Yesterday you lost your student identification card. You need to get discounts on public transport and for the cinema, and to use the college library. Even more importantly, you need it as proof of identity to withdraw money at bank.
Write to the Director of Student Services explaining the situation and requesting a new card as soon as possible

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to inform you that my identification card has been misplaced yesterday. The commutations to and from college became expensive as a result because I am unable to take discounts on the rides. Furthermore, this card is the only way by which my identity can be established.

Let me explain to you that the importance of this card is realized when it was lost as wherever I go, I must present it. Earlier, it was always hanged around my neck and the entry into the library, sports facilities and other amenities of college were at a blink of an eye, but now I cannot go to the library because of which my studies could be disturbed. In addition to college facilities, in many private entertainment places like cinema, the production of the card is essential to avail 40% discount.

More importantly, the same card was being used to withdraw money from the bank account and without it soon I will run out of money and cannot even travel to the college. Therefore, I request you to issue a new identity card on an urgent basis so that I can avail all the benefits and can get money for my routine expenses.

Thank you in anticipation

Yours faithfully,
