I would like to thank you for the opportunity to be a part of your organization. I was offered the project manager position in your company and was supposed to join on 1 August. However, a problem has arisen and it forces me to delay my joining for a week than initially planned.
Yesterday, I was waiting at the crossroad. During this period, a car was suspected of malfunctioning and crashed into the crowd waiting. Unfortunately, I was knocked down by a car because I couldn’t avoid it in time. After a doctor’s closer examination, it was found that I had only broken the left leg. The doctor said that I need to take a rest for around two weeks. Considering this, I would request you to delay my joining for a week.
