You are living overseas and you have just come across an article about your country in a magazine where some of the information are incorrect. Write a letter to the editor. In the letter, you should: – explain that an article contains wrong information – supply the correction information instead – provide some more interesting information for the editor to publish in the future.

Dear Mr. Hanson,

I am writing this letter regarding an article published in the last month magazine related to my homeland Panjab. However, it was informative but some of the details are not appropriate.

Actually, the name Panjab it comes from the five rivers which were in the state and five is called panj in my native language. Basically, it means the land of rivers. While it was written wrong that the name of the state is due to the emperor who ruled there in ancient times.

I would also like to tell you some interesting facts that now there are only two rivers in the Panjab which is in India and three are in Pakistan. The river named Raavi is a borderline between the two countries. Hence, the land of the rivers is suffering from the serious issue of lacking water rapidly these days, you will find multiple causes behind the problem. I would appreciate if you could correct the given information and address the current situation which would be helpful for the awareness of people.

Thank you for your consideration in advance.

Yours faithfully,

Peter Evans
