You are not happy with the course you are doing at college and would like to change to a different course. Write a letter to the college director requesting to change the course.
• What course you are following now?
• Why you are not satisfied with the course?
• What course would you like to change to?

Dear Mr John,

I am a student at your college, studying in third semester and pursuing Electronics and Telecommunication. I am writing this letter to request you to grant permission for changing the course.

At the onset, I would like to appreciate that teachers in our school are well-educated, knowledgable and dedicated. However, I really do not feel engaged in the current subjects, and find it complex to understand the basic concepts. Moreover, we had a coding curriculum last semester which I got involved with.

As a part of university policy, if a student has desire to move to other academic branch at the beginning of third semester, then he should be allowed to migrate the subject. Owing to this, I share an interest towards Computer Science and would like to gain more insight of it.

Therefore, I request you to allow me to change the subject. I believe this is not only to going to help me my career ahead but will also improve my result in exams.

I look forward to hear from you.

Yours faithfully,
Mudita Joshi
