Dear Sir,
I am writing to request you for some time off work during upcoming weeks. As you know that our top management has organized a training for the employees of our department as a part of skill development programs. I would like to participate in the same to gain some advanced knowledge about the current processes being deployed in our project. This would in-turn be helpful to enhance the efficacy of the team.
Let me briefly explain the schedule of the training. There are three sessions on the whole and the first session will be on next week Monday from 8 am till 12 pm. The second session is on Wednesday tentative from 9 am up to 1 pm. Then the final schedule is on Friday 2 pm to 4 pm. The session on Wednesday has not yet been confirmed. I request you to make a note of the timings
I am well aware of the work I am supposed to do for next week. I have requested one of my colleagues to take care of my duties on my absence. I have trained him already on the tasks and there is no need to deploy additional resources in my place. I will also be available over the phone for any clarifications.
