I am writing to inform you that I wont be able to come to play badminton next week as we had planned. I understand that we had planned this meeting as per my schedule and I truly apologize for cancelling at the last moment.
My company is sending me for a short training to Delhi on Monday and I will be coming back after 3 weeks. My manager has selected me to attend the training on the basis of my performance. My promotion is due next month and this training is very paramount for me for my career growth.
However, I suggest we meet on the falling weekend after I am back from Delhi. I would like to invite you for a dinner party at my residence. This dinner would be special as I will be cooking myself. Also, we can spend more time catching up on things rather than meeting for games or a coffee. Please let me know your availability.
