How are you and your family? Although it has been a short time since we last saw each other, it feels much longer.
The laptop, which you lend me day before yesterday for preparing my assignments, has been damaged. I very well know how precious it was for you as it was your birthday gift. I am really very sorry for this damage.
I will tell you what happend exactly. As I was working till late night, I did not realise when I fell asleep since I had severe headache and fever. The moment, when I woke up in the morning, I found the laptop was on the floor along with it's charger. There were some scratches on the screen and the charger also stopped working.
I was trying to fix its charger at my own end, but the problem was beyond my knowledge. I took it to the electrician and he specified there are minor damages and will take two days to repair. I have given your laptop for repairing and made the payment as well.
Please accept my sincere apologies once again.
