You have recently started work in a new company.

Write a letter to an English speaking friend

In your letter:

Explain why you changed jobs

Describe your new job

Tell him/her your other news

Dear Mike,

I'm just writing to let you know that I got a new job in a different company.

As you already know my previous job as an Accountant was stressful and very demanding, as I always get to the office before 7am and leave after 10pm that was why I decided to change my work. Also I wanted to gain new experience in a different field of work.

I'm a marketing personnel officer at my new workplace and I'm in charge of developing new product and advertising it to the public. I also make presentations on our products at conferences and seminars within and outside the country. My job now is very attractive and it comes with a huge annual salary and a 30 days paid vacation.

Would you like to know what I've been up to? Well I got a new girlfriend and we've been going out for the past two years. She's a very beautiful young lady who works with the Central Bank within the district. She will be around to welcome you on your next visit.

All the best

Andy
