You recently attended a conference and you would like to give a presentation about the information you gained by attending the conference.
Write a letter to your manager asking for permission to give a presentation. In your letter:
describe what type of presentation you have in mind
what topics it would cover and how long it would take
who should participate in the presentation and where should it be conducted
Dear Eli,
As you already know I attended the the Global certified scrum master conference last week, which was hosted in Los Angeles. I had the opportunity to meet managers from all over the world and learn a few techniques related to management. I, therefore, would like your permission to give a presentation on what I have learned.
The presentation will be of 30 minutes and it will be given just before the office time ends so that participants can go home and look up the topics while it is fresh. The topics that I will discuss will be on development of Management strategies, new emerging problems of Management role and ways to deal with the same. I will end the presentation with some tips and tricks that I gathered at the conference.
I believe that all the managers in the company should participate as this might help them in their current projects or give a boost in their careers. But due to time and budget constraints, I think it would be best to limit to 10 managers who are actually interested as our conference room can accommodate only 10 people.
I look forward to hearing from you on the matter.
Your sincerely,
ABC XYS
