You recently attended a meeting at a hotel. When you returned home, you found you had left some important papers at the hotel. Write a letter to the manager of the hotel, in your letter:
Say where you think you left the papers
Explain why they are so important
Tell the manager what you want him/ her to do
Dear Sir,
I am writing this epistle in reference to inform you that I forgot some important papers at your hotel yesterday. Let me explain in detail.
To elucidate I had organized an event at your hotel for a delegation of business people arriving from Japan. The meeting lasted for the whole day in the conference room “The Mercury”. While returning home I suddenly realized that I had forgotten some important papers in the meeting room. For your information, these papers were kept in a blue transparent file on the projector table. The contents of the file are confidential as they contain non-disclosure agreements, memorandum of understanding on some key projects in Japan, therefore, need to be shared with my legal department for processing.
Hence I request you to look into this matter and advise your staff to find the file. If they manage to find the file then immediately give me a call on my cell number so that I can send someone from my office to collect.
I look forward to your immediate help and resolution on the same.
Yours sincerely
Derrick
