I writing to express my concerns about the construction of new air port at Koramangala. I read the tender notice that you had published in The Hindu on June 15, 2019.
Let me explain the reason for not favoring the new airport on the dried lake bed at Koramangala. Rampant construction and non-maintenance of the storm water drains has led this grave situation. During the monsoons with no lake to drain in the excess water would lead to water clogging and flood in the area. Additionally, this would result in rendering the runway unsuitable for lading in the monsoons.
Would you kindly reconsider other alternative landscapes for the air port and help in restoring the lake.
