You recently received a letter from a friend asking for advice about whether to go to college or to try to get a job. You think he / she should get a job.Write a letter to this friend. In your letter- Say why he / she would not enjoy going to college- Exp

Dear Raj,

I appreciate you writing to me for suggestion about job or college, If you ask me I think you should get a job rather than going to college.

As you have completed your graduation in IT, I would suggest to take hands on experience on your area of expertise. Going for further education is always a good idea but currently you must focus on getting a job and exploring the industry requirements. This will help you in two ways , first, you will start earning through which you can save for further education. Secondly, you will be receiving experience that will be added to your profile which will benefit in years to come.

Going to college now will add extra burden on your parents in terms of fees, living cost and many more. While on the other hand it will also be not beneficial for you as without experience you may not get admission in a good college as all reputed universities ask for some work exposure.

You can seek out job in the data science market which is currently booming and requires large number of professional. It will also back what you have studied in your graduation and would be a good learning curve. Along with that if you need to find a different challenge you can go for teach for India where you can share your knowledge to the kids.

I hope this will help you to figure out the path that you need to choose.

Yous Faithfully,
Gunjan
