You recently started work in a new company

Write a letter to an English-speaking friend. In your letter
-explain why you changed job
-describe your new job
-tell him/her your other news

Dear Chris,

I'm excited to tell you about my new job which I just started a few days ago.

My previous company has shifted its operations to the UK and I was not ready to move there so I resigned. Luckily, I got a better job offer from a competitor with a tempting salary package and a few perks. I accepted the offer as there are more chances to advance in a career here.

My new position as head of finance is a dream come true for me. I am leading a diversified talented team of accounts and treasury. My duties require me to work as a bridge between all the different departments. The best part is, I got to travel a lot to other cities for the audit of other branches.

I am over the moon to tell you about this exciting news that next week I am scheduled to travel to your city for work. Fortunately, I will have a lot of spare time to spend it with you. I wanted to give you a heads up so you will keep yourself free on the 28th of June.

Can't wait to see you!

Best wishes,
Ahsan.
