You recently stayed in a hotel in a large city. The weather was very unusual for the time of year and the heating / cooling system in the hotel was quite inadequate.

Dear Mr. Parkson,
I am writing to you regarding some troublesome issues I faced during my recent stay at the hotel. I belive this time the weather was much colder than expected, so I had hoped for better facilities to overcome the situation, but that was not the case. There was no thermostat installed in my room, unfortunately. Due to which I was not able to manage the temperature inside the room and was restless the whole time.
I had to order several blankets at an extra cost and take hot water baths frequently which was a pain. In spite of shutting of the air-conditioning and stuffing me under blankets, I was not able to feel any warmth in the room whatsoever.
I have been a trusted customer and hence, informing you about the same, so that nobody else faces such a problem. I would like you to kindly check all the rooms on that respective floor and inspect them thoroughly. Also, I believe I should get a refund for the extra charges as the issue was caused because of the hotel's negligence.
Kindly look into it at the earliest.
