Essay topics:

Your family is going to move to another town. Write a letter to the Principal of a local school asking if they will accept your son. Describe his academic achievements and scope of interests.

Dear Principal,

I am Amelia Johnson, writing to request your advice on the admission of my son, mark. I have been recently transferred to San Diego, to oversee some projects at the headquarters on urgent basis. as a consequence, my son also needs to travel with me. I am fully aware that students are normally recommended to complete a whole academic year before switching schools but the changes were at the eleventh hour.

Your school has a reputation of upholding exceptionally high standards of education. My son has an excellent track record of passing all of his subjects with outstanding grades. I have provided a copy of his marksheets as attachment. In addition, he is active sports person at his current school and has been praised by his teachers for his performance. He had been recognised as man of the match in a recent inter-school cricket competition.

Therefore, I would be grateful if you could consider him for joining midsession. I can ensure you that he will bring the best culture and honour to the school.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours sincerely,
Amelia Johnson
