Your local council is considering closing a sports and leisure centre that it runs in order to save money.
Write a letter to the local council. In your letter,

give details of how you and your friends or family use the centre
explain why the sports and leisure centre is important for the local community
describe the possible effects on local people if the centre closes

Dear Sir,
I am Shreyas Parab residing in Shiv Prasad, Indralok Phase 2. I and my family have been living here for more than two decades; we are active members of the sports centre since it has been operational. My parents use the fitness centre along with practising yoga daily at the premises whereas, I prefer practising tennis and swimming at the centre keeping myself fit and enthusiast.
This Sports complex is of vital importance to the local community. This centre not only attracts people for being fit and healthy but also brings them together prosperousing their bonding among the community. Out of their busy schedule, one gets really refreshed and stay mentally fit doing something they like at the leisure centre.
It is very hard to hear that due to the monetary deficit, the council is looking to shut the complex. Shutting the place will lead to high obesity and increases in diabetic issues in the milieu. Furthermore, there is no other place to do physical activities unfortunately leading to an increase in the unhealthy population of the city.
Its a request, to not to close the only sports and leisure centre in the area. I am also sending a copy of this letter to the local newspaper, to save the centre.

Yours faithfully,
Shreyas Parab
