In many parts of the world children and teenagers are committing more crimes Why is this happening How should they be punished

Adolescents and children are more involved in criminal activity in various regions of the globe. This trend of affairs can be attributed to several factors, and this essay will suggest viable solutions to remedy the situation.

The proliferation of violent video games is one of the major factors in the rise of criminal activity among young people. This can be seen in the popularity of downloading violent games like Pubg, Free Fire, and Lien Quan Mobile on mobile devices running Apple's iOS or Google's Android operating systems. To exemplify this point, a 2021 study by Google found that six out of ten Vietnamese children had downloaded at least one violent video game onto a mobile device and that youths there typically spent three to four hours per week playing such games. Google, while discussing the repercussions of violent gaming among youngsters in the report, also claimed that prolonged exposure to such games leads children to act aggressively and resolve conflicts through violence, making them more likely to breach the law. Another reason for the increase in juvenile crime is the loophole in the Vietnamese government's policy, which does not punish offenders under the age of 18 with the same severe penalties meted out to adult counterparts. As a result of this loophole, children and teenagers would take advantage and commit crimes with the full knowledge that they would receive the leniency of the law.

There has to be collaboration between the administration and the people of the community in order to find a solution to this issue. The first step is for the government to take measures to reduce the possibility of juveniles abusing the loophole in the legal system. Juvenile criminals need to be severely punished by the law so that they would be deterred and learn to control their conduct. In addition, lawmakers should impose regulations on the video game industry, such as making developers confirm the age and identity of players in violent games, which would lessen the likelihood that young people would be exposed to violent content online. In the second step, schools need to provide instruction with a criminal justice focus, which would make young people aware of the serious consequences of criminal behavior. Finally, families may help reduce juvenile delinquency by ensuring their children get a good education and are properly disciplined. It is crucial for parents to be able to establish an indoor surveillance system and to have the correct upbringing in order to identify their children's misbehavior and help them comprehend and not repeat these habits.

In conclusion, there are several causes for concern about the rising adolescent crime rate. The essay has mentioned common contributing factors to this issue, including the proliferation of violent video games and legal loopholes. The government-to-person solutions that have been presented to assist handle the topic more comprehensively.
