You are due to start an English language course next week but you will not be able to because you have some problems.
Write a letter to the manager of the language school, Sally Flannigan. In your letter:
explain your situation
describe your problems
tell him/her when you think you can start.
Dear Sally,
Hope you are doing well. I am writing in reference to inform you that I won’t be able to start an English course scheduled next week due to some problems at my office. Let me explain in detail.
To elucidate I am travelling to Singapore for an important communication event which is scheduled next week. Although I tried to reschedule my travel the company management wants me to travel as our company is launching a new product at the event. Additionally, I have a few business meetings aligned with telecom suppliers to discuss future strategy and penetration in enterprise markets. Hence due to these problems, I am unable to start the course in March.
Hence I would suggest to realign me with a fresh batch in mid of April as I will be back in India at that time. I look forward to your response and seeing you when I join the course.
Yours sincerely
Said
