Some students prefer classes with frequent discussions between the professor and the students with almost no lectures. Other students prefer classes with many lectures and almost no discussions. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

here are many different dynamics for classes, in most cases these depend on the teacher. However, my opinion as a student is that the one that works the best is when the teacher is open to discussion with their students. I feel this way for three reasons, which I ́ll explore in the following essay.

First, when a teacher promotes discussion in a certain topic, the class will become more interactive. Which means that the student will feel more involved and more interested making it easier for them to remember what was taught. For example, I hold more memories of what was discussed in my school’s debates than the information that I investigated the previous days.

Second, if discussion is introduced to the lecture is probable that new information will come up from either the student or professor, data that wouldn't have been binged up originally, or maybe new knowledge might be discovered by both parts in the dialogue. Imagine a history class where the teacher is explaining a war from the point of view from the victorious side, most common uptake on history, but a student in the class has heritage from the other side and decides to share their family's experience bringing more perspective to the story.

Some people prefer lessons where is mostly the teacher talking uninterrupted where the students abstain to just take notes. They argue that this way they can get the information that they need to know and don’t get lost with minor details. Personally, I disagree, most of the information and facts can be easily find on textbooks that they would have to read later anyway. Education and professors are a privilege, students should be able to make the most of them and try to gain a most complete view on the topic.

In conclusion, is clear for me that I prefer being able to hear different doubts or opinions in a class, it benefits me more than a long lecture that consist just on the professor talking. This way a more interactive and open-minded atmosphere for learning is created. Everyone learns differently and this is how it works best for me.
