TPO-29 - Independent Writing Task Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? To improve the quality of education, universities should spend money on salaries university professors. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

The role of university professors has always been a noteworthy matter when it comes to talking about improvement the quality of education. There are a plethora of people who contend that it is a good idea if universities spend more money on professors' salaries to enhance the quality of education. Others take an opposite point and count the professor's role weak. I, to a great extent, corroborate the second perspective as it seems more rational. In what follows, I will attempt to clarify the reasons in support of my viewpoint in detail.

To commence with, the most imperative reason comes to mind at first is that they are not the sole parameter that could have effect on improvement of the education. It is conspicuous that there are lots of parameters like the facilities, the management of university, the amount of scholarship, the students' motivation and so forth which may have effect on having better educational system. Considering these parameters, manager should identify the most important parameter and then place a high value on this. This identification needs more research to be done and could not be the same in different universities. As you can see, this whole picture shows that increase in professors' salaries is not necessarily a good idea for having better educational system.

Another exquisite point to be mentioned is that there are lots of professors who are qualified but they could not have taught the students as good as they know about a special field. Let me take you back to a few years ago when I was a first-year university student. I studied Food Science and Technology in Shahid Beheshti University of medical Scieneces which is one of the most prestiguous university in my country. At first year, when I was at different classes, I had a bad feel about the content since most of the professors say everything uneven, I mean irregular. There is just one of my professor who taught the Food Chemistry and he was the person whom I admired the most since she said every detail and have specific discipline. I knew that in most of the courses, student study by themselves and the professors had minuscule effect on their information. This experience taught me that improve the quality of education is not really related to the increase in the salary of university professors.

To wrap it all up, taking all the aforementioned ideas into consideration, we may draw the conclusion that not only are the professors only one of the parameters could have a specific effect on quality of education but also some of them are not really good to have impressive effect on this, so it is highly recommended that the universities find the most important parameter by research and the they try to improve the education by intensifying that.

Better to have 5 paragraphs with 3 arguments. And try always support/against one side but compare two sides, like this:

para 1: introduction
para 2: reason 1. address both of the views presented for reason 1
para 3: reason 2. address both of the views presented for reason 2
para 4: reason 3. address both of the views presented for reason 3
para 5: conclusion.

So how to find out those reasons. There is a formula:

reasons == advantages or

reasons == disadvantages

for example, we can always apply 'save time', 'save/make money', 'find a job', 'make friends', 'get more information' as reasons to all essay/speaking topics.

or we can apply 'waste time', 'waste money', 'no job', 'make bad friends', 'get bad information' as reasons to all essay/speaking topics.
