Asteroids are large space objects made of rock and ice There are hundreds of thousands of asteroids in our solar system Though we often hear ideas about establishing colonies of humans to live and work on our Moon or our neighboring planet Mars some t

The reading states that there are several reasons that an asteroid would be the best colonization option for living and working on them. On the other hand, the lecturer finds all the reasons mentioned by the reading dubious and refutes them all by specific details.
First, the reading states that low gravity on asteroids is very good for starting life on them because it would be easier for the spacecraft to take off again, and the spaceship would needles fuel. On the contrary, the professor mentioned the fact that low gravity presents some risks too, such as damage to muscles, and bone density on the spaceship.
Furthermore, the author argues that an asteroid colony would be extremely profitable and a good source of rheas raw materials. Conversely, the lecturer brings up the idea that the cost of these mining metals is very much, and is not a good idea to expending that much money on this project, also supply this metal is very difficult.
Finally, the reading passage holds the view that asteroids are easy to reach, and they are a good option for colonization, and some of them get closer to Earth than our Moon. In contrast, the professor dismisses this issue due to the fact that the ability of easy to reach is not meaning there are easy to return, even it was close to getting to is not easy to get back from them and it would be a challenge for them.
