The speaker, on the contrary, refutes this notion and expresses that these carved stone balls are uniform in size but have different mass. They have different type like sand or stone. Moreover, they have same size but different weights. So, they can't be used as weights systems.
First of all, the author of the article puts forth that carved stone balls had a special social purpose and meaning. Conversely, the lecturer rebuts this also and declares that it is unlikely because they do not have intricate patterns and they are simple to be social status. Also, there were none in graves of died Britains, whom buried with possessions and had high social statuses.
