There is no doubt that all humans want to be happy, and they have a deep desire for finding happiness in all of their activities. Without enjoyment, life is boring and unfavorable. However, despite this tendency, sometimes society creates a situation for us that we must do things that are not interesting. In this regard, a controversial question is that people should do things which are not enjoyable for them or not. Personally, it is my firm conviction that to achieve the long-lasting happiness, we should sometimes do unfavorable activities because they give rise to beneficial results which please us. In the following, I will discuss my reasons elaborately.
First and foremost, although temporary enjoyments provide good feelings at the moments, they sometimes make negative consequences that are unsolvable. Actually, we live in several communities, and our preferences are not just based on enjoyment. There are some rules for creating a successful society in which all member live with the highest possible happiness. To this aim, individuals should accept the restrictions. One of this illegal activities is drinking huge amount of alcohol which makes people drunk in such a way that they can not control their actions. In most countries, this activity is illegal because there are numerous reports which shows drunk people kill others due to a car accident, they were not aware during driving due to over-consuming alcohol. Although people enjoying to drink alcohol because it helps them to be calm and cheerful, what will be happened if they kill someone? Hence, they should stop drinking much despite their natural inclination for having fun.
Another worthwhile reason is that doing works that are boring can pave the way for several successes in the future. Life is full of mundane and mandatory activities which are prerequisite for gaining sought-after dreams. For example, students do not like to solve sophisticated assignments, waking up early in order to go school, and allocating their holidays to study math. Nevertheless, if they sacrifice their temporary enjoyments, they will obtain skills and knowledge which guarantee their future prosperity. Briefly, although enjoying from moments is fantastic, nothing gain without pain. Hence, people should accept this unlovely fact and try to think about its positive consequences to make the way endurable for themselves.
To recapitulate, doing interesting tasks are important for all people; nonetheless, we should sometimes do jobs which are not lovely for us. It is due to the fact that not only do some enjoyments account for uncompensated results, but also, achieving valuable things needs a lot of endeavors.
