The reading and lecture are about the pros and cons of the professor who is also involving as a guest on television, news program, expert commentary inspite of normally working in university classrooms, offices and libraries. The writer believes that professor is an allrounder and can work in every field. But the lecturer deny on this. He says, professor duty is just to do research within university. He claims that there are still many issue with professor working environment and challenge's each of by writer's points.

First, the article posits that appearing on television, give a chance to acquire reputation in academic fields among wider audience other then campus. If a professor publishes an academic journal, with communication with media other can also appreciate their work along with the scholar. But the listener say that, media sometimes are the reason of spoiling their image. Many professor have not allowed to attend conference, meeting because many think of them as entertainer. Nevertheless, condition become worse when they doesn't get the funding for their research. Therefore, result in affecting their academic career.

Also the author notes that, universities also benefit by their presence in limelight. Because universities get publicity as well as donation for hiring more potential applicant. The lecture rebuts this argument. He says that professor is wasting there time in figuring out the dress code, travel time, presentation preparation, TV time schedule which directly consequence in avoidance of their research.

Another reason the writer feels is that television is become the source of communication for those who are unaware of the current situation what is happening in world. Local people will get the idea of what is going on in research field. Again the speaker deny. He says that entertainment media doesn't give the useful information to population. They cut the news according to their requirement as they are not serious for the issue going on or they are capable to broadcast the same news as which have given by any expert. Hence, they have the ability to mimic the experts.

To sum up, both the author and listener are holding the conflict view on professor appear in news program giving expert advice or better to found in universities classroom, offices, lecturing and libraries to their students.
