the fossils of bees founded in million years ago

Essay topics:

the fossils of bees founded in million years ago

The text and the lecture both explain the possibility of presence of bees in 200 million years ago. As the text, it is impossible that bees existed since that time and provides three reasons of support. On the other hand, the professor refutes these reasons and explains why she is against them.

First, the text explains that there is no fossil of bees related to 200 million years ago, and it can proved that bees appeared just 100 million years ago. The professor goes against this point and states that although there is not any fossil of bees dated to 200 million years ago, it may be just because they could not be preserved from that time. She adds that current fossils belong to 100 years ago are made of sticky liquid of special kind of trees, and because these trees were rare in the past, they could not preserve any bees as fossils in themselves.

Second, as the text, another reasons which proves bees did not exist 200 million years ago is the lack of flowering plants in that period which bees heavily relied on them. The professor refutes this claim and states that it is probable that bees in 200 million years ago, used non-flowering plants like pine trees as their food resource and just later, adapted to flowering plants.

Third, the text claims that the fossils found in Arizona do not have a special structure detail of bees' nests. It also states that this lack can prove that founded fossils belong to other kind of insects. The professor rejects this point by stating that there are some chemical evidences which prove founded fossils belong to bees. She continues that by doing chemical analyzes, scientists found that there is a special water-proof component in founded fossils which is present in modern bees as well. In this way she states that founded fossils belong to bees dated to 200 million years ago.
