The professor refutes this claim and states that it is probable that bees in 200 million years ago, used non-flowering plants like pine trees as their food resource and just later, adapted to flowering plants.
Third, the text claims that the fossils found in Arizona do not have a special structure detail of bees' nests. It also states that this lack can prove that founded fossils belong to other kind of insects. The professor rejects this point by stating that there are some chemical evidences which prove founded fossils belong to bees. She continues that by doing chemical analyzes, scientists found that there is a special water-proof component in founded fossils which is present in modern bees as well. In this way she states that founded fossils belong to bees dated to 200 million years ago.
