Importance of News

The passage and lecture hold two opposing views about the importance of following news. The reading passage proposes three possible reasons for the benefits of the news that they are very good for people. However, the lecturer seems to casts doubts on the elucidations explained by the author. Believing that news is confusing, the professor finds readings proofs unconvincing and she disproves each reason mentioned in the text, specifically.
To begin with, the first reason described by the author regarding the fact that news induces our mind and emotion. However, the speaker finds this statement debatable and refute it. He asserts that news encourages a bad part of our mind and it can be dangerous. Furthermore, she says that the news is not good for our brains. Consequently, we should not look news many times.
Secondly, it is proposed in the reading passage that news is irrelevant that caused some problems. This point is rebutted by the lecturer and she claims that although some news may be irrelevant we can find our favorite genre. Also, we can find some new areas for tracking news about that area. As a result of finding good and new topics, we can learn more about them.
Finally, whereas the author states the idea that news is a waste of time, the professor disproves this belief by explaining that we can save our time by watching the news. By news information, we can have more free time and spend it on other activities.
