The article states the key aspects that traditional campus environment programs are different from the online programs and provides three reasons to support. However, the professor explains that both the programs are similar and attacks each of the claims made in the reading.

In the reading, the author begins by stating that one-on-one with the professor is not possible in the online degree program. The lecturer, nevertheless, disagrees. he says that one-on-one is up to the student, if the student wants, then they do it through emails, chats and telephone conferences. Whereas, in traditional programs, this happens through face-to-face.

The writing also posits that online programs are not as challenging as on-campus programs. Again, the lecturer believes that there are flaws in the writer's argument. he argues that online-programs are indeed difficult, needs a lot of concentration and strong time management skills. he goes on and says that there are many online programs weigh up to 20 credits.

Another reason why the author feels that two programs are different is that top schools do not offer online degree programs but, the professor in the listening passage is doubtful that this is accurate. he asserts that every ivy league schools provide online programs, only a few require a one-time residency requirement. Even Princeton has started online programs to its students.

To sum up, both the author and the professor have conflicting views and they will have trouble finding common ground on this issue.
