The reading mainly discusses that people who want to start a new business and they are not risky persons, they can buy a franchise and he provides some benefits to use of this. On the other hand, the professor does not agree with author’s view and he states that these reasons are not true about advantages of the franchise for some reasons.
First of all, the article claims that to open a new company or a business, the franchise is very helpful due to prepare initial requesting that owner don’t have to pay much many and it is a perfect supporter and also it will reduce prices. However, in the listening the speaker refuses this idea and asserts that the franchise will forces the owner to buy some specific goods by spending much money, even though owner can buy them cheaper that are available in the market.
In addition, the passage believes that the franchise helps and dose advertise for owners and they can sale his goods more and more and they don’t have to pay much money for advertising. On the contrary, the professor argues that when people buy the franchise, they agreed to pay back 6 percent of their sales and it does not benefit.
Finally, the text asserts that people who want to have a business independent and without the franchise, their business will not be security. While the lecturer states that the franchise will not bring security and people can start their business self-efficient and might be a little risky. The professor recommend that people buy business from previous owners by pay less money and start their company independent.
