It is better for children to choose jobs that are similar to their parents' jobs than to choose jobs that are very different from their parents' job.
Finding a job in new societies and developed countries can be a controversial problem for the youngsters because of high level of competition. Some people believe that it's better for children to fallow their parents' career to have support and safe position of finding an occupation. Parents took all the risks, came over all the problems, thus it is a safe and convenient place to make money. Others think that finding a different career from your parents or owning a new business might be difficult but can make you. I agree with them because of some reasons, I will discuss.
Firstly, people have different talents, traits and features, one might be good at math who would be a good accountant or engineer other might have artistic personality who could be a perfect artist in the future. Thus, the personal talents and characteristics should be considered in selecting a career which might be different from the parents' career because they have their own distinct personalities.
Next, parents' support can be a factor of prosperity and success but not always. For example, most famous people were born in poor families without any supports and with different family careers. They just rely on their abilities and that's why they can handle their difficult circumstances and have always taught from their fails to success.
Finally, we human beings need to have challenge in our lifetimes to experience and make ourselves. In fact, all of us should have our own effects on society from our birth to death. In my perspective, humans have come to Earth to use and preserve its supplies to grow. We should stand on our knees and make our personality by studying, working and experiencing whether our parents help us or not. They might be our supporters or opponents from their views but everyone should be their own decision makers.
To recap, in my opinion it is not a must for children to choose their parents' career because of plenty of reasons.
