On the other hand, the professor thinks that it’s more likely that predators ate them, since no bodies of otters were found on the beaches. This explains why chemicals were not the case here.
Next, According to the reading, the pollution caused other small animals to die out as well. In contrast, the listening points out that there were no bodies of those animals found too. The lecture mentions orca, a predator, that usually feds on whales. Professor says, since whales do not exist anymore, orcas have switched to hunting on smaller mammals.
