Notwithstanding, the professor even though believes that there are some feasible assumptions to find what was the cause of these sounds, but she denies all the hypotheses in the passage.
First and foremost, according to the author of extract, orca whales are one of the candidates of these sounds' origin. Nevertheless, the lecture refutes this presumption by mentioning to the contrast living place of orca whales and places that sounds were heard from. She states that those whales are near the surface, while those sounds came from deeper place of the ocean.
The professor in the lecture further asserts that giant squids are now living in the discussing ocean, whereas the sounds have not heard since 1980s. These claims rebut the writer's theory that consider giant squids as cause of these sounds.
The text lasting insists that foreign submarines can consider as a presumable source of these sounds. Nonetheless, the professor in the lecture counters this supposition by mentioning some visible problems of this theory. She says that if we presume that these sounds came from the alien submarines, we can not explain continuing direction changing of those sounds (those heard from different directions.) because submarines sound cannot have changeable direction.
