reject the advantage of storing information about patients in electronic databases by speaker.
Recently, there has been a ton of debates as to records and storing information about patients in electronic databases. Most specifically, with regard to the passage, the writer puts forth the idea that medical's records in electronic databases have several advantages over traditional way. In the listening, the lecturer is quick to point out there are serious flaws in the writer's idea. In fact, the professor believes the benefits about this new approach are very uncertain.
First and foremost, the author in the article states that electronic records can help reduce costs by saving money for necessary tasks not for faxing, copying and some staff like these. Some professionals, in the same field, however, stand in firm opposition to this claim. In the listening, the speaker states doctors only keep information for the emergency. He goes on to say that they don't need them always and most doctors don't pay any money for storage costs.
One group of scholars presented by the writer think that electronic medical records can reduce medical errors due to improper transcription of data. Of course, though, not all the experts in the same field, believe this claim is accurate. In the listening, for example, the lecturer states most doctors still use paper for their notes by hand and they don't willing to enter their notes on the computer.
Finally, the writer wraps his argument by positing that in this way aiding for research in the medical era be more easy and accessible. In the listening, the professor takes issue by contending that research access in this era needs allow and have privacy laws.
To sum up, both the writer and speaker hold conflicting views about keeping medical records in databases. It is clear that they have no common ground on this issue.
