First, the reading states that the breaking of the fossilized leg bone revealed many small branching channels inside, which shows the blood vessels were once located. On the contrary, the professor mentioned the fact that soft flexible organic is not necessary blood vessels, like after animal dying bacteria live in hollow of bones, so this soft flexible could be reminded of this bacteria.
Furthermore, the author argues that tests showed that the spheres contained iron a material vital to the role of red blood cells in transporting oxygen. Conversely, the lecturer brings up the idea that fossils that have red blood cells could show many different things and is not a reasonable idea for exist of blood vessels.
Finally, the reading passage holds the view that collagen is a fibrous protein that is the main component of living bone tissue, and finding this protein in the dinosaur leg showed blood vessels exist in this animal. In contrast, the speaker dismisses this issue due to the fact that finding collagen shows how long this protein exists, so collagen could be from another source, not dinosaur fossils.
