tidal power- integrated task

The article discuss about the strucure alternate energy source tidal power system and its implication on environment system. However, the professor thinks there are many drawbacks of tidal power system and cast doubt on the points mentioned in the artcile.

First, the article states that energy production are possible every day. However, the professor refutes this point by mentioning that tidal power can be provide for only fraction of need. He further states that tidal power is able fullfil needs only for regional level.

Second, the article states about the procedure for production of tidal power where gates are open and close to allow water to flow into the area behind the barrage. The professor has explained that this process has economical impact since humans are not able to navigate betwwen the estuary and open sea.

Third, the article avers that tidal power is renewable, non-pollution and contributes no greenhouse so it can be used as supplement for fossil fuel. However, to weaken this point the professor has mentioned about its implication on wildlife. He states that water becomes saline in estuary reason due to mud and sediments. These hammers the healh of wild life of fish. It also causes paralysis in shellfish. Fish migration is also gets hammered since movement is not possible due to barage. It also destroy the natural habitats of fish.
