The article states that Pterosaurus whis is a reptile with tall wings did not have capability to flying by using flapping of wing and provide three reasons of support. However, the professor assert that this type of reptile has capability of powered flight and refutes each of authors reasons.
First, the reading claims that pterosaaurs similar to modern reptile were probably cold-blooded with slow metabolism which could nit provides abundant needed energy for poweflight. The professor oposes this point by declaing that there are some fossil remains of this ancient reptile with demonstrate dense furry coverage on body of this reptiles which shows this reptile could be warm-blooded and probably have ability of high metabolism to provide powered flight energy.
Second, the article states that the weight of this animal is one of this reptile limiting factor for flight. In contrast, the lecturer says that this animal have bones with hollow structure which can reduce the weight and this reptile could be capable to powered flight by reducing weight.
Third, the author posit that powered flight need ability to take off similar to birds, and this reptile have not has such powerfull muscle to take off. The lecturer casts doubt on this claim by saying that there are evidence that this reptile has four poweful limb for fast take of and jump and this bird not have two back limb similar to modern birds.
