The article state's that a company should make a policy for their employees to work four days a week because it enhances the company profit and provides three reasons to support. However, the professor says that it won't effects business profits and workers and he refutes each of the author's opinions.
First, the passage states that four day work week improve the company profit for hiring new staff without extra pay. However, the professor says that rather than benefit company, it forces the company to spend a lot more on their training and health benefits. He also explained that even though they save money on the worker's wage company needs to spend an additional amount for office space and computers.
Second, the article avers that as a whole country shorter work week declines the unemployment. The professor contended this point by saying it doesn't follow all employ and the professor also mentioned that the hiring is costly. As a result, the company forces their employees to work more to make up the difference. He also mentioned that the company expects the same productivity from the four days and five work employee. What more, an unpleasant work environment.
Third, The passage climes that shorter work days better for workers because they get chances to spend more time with families and other activities. However, the professor alleges that it is more risk for the individual worker. He explained that shorter work days decreases the job quality and stability. he illustrated that it harms their carrier because they lose their jobs during economic recessions. he also mentioned that it passed over the promotion.
