TPO-02 - Integrated Writing Task In many organizations, perhaps the best way to approach certain new projects is to assemble a group of people into a team. Having a team of people attack a project offers several advantages. First of all, a group of people

The reading passage states that work as a team on a project increases the efficiency of work. However, the lecturer cast doubt on each of the author's idea.

First and foremost, the reading suggests that the team includes many members which make the experience, knowledge, and skills broader than individuals which trigger the team to makes the decision quicker. On the other hand, the professor says that it takes a long time to build an agreement because the ideas refuted by only one team member disappears fast which requires a team to find a new idea of a project.

Secondly, the article indicates that the team members divide the responsibility of a team which allows them to take a risk. In contrast, the lecturer argues that some members who told the teamwork went wrong may be ignored by others. What if they failed on a project, the innocent member also treats like a guilty because of their team.

Lastly, the passage states that the team member could shine if the overall result of a team is good. The professor made a counterclaim to the idea by sharing an example. According to him, some team members become a free rider, and the others do whole work of a team in order to not fail. Moreover, there is no proof and name in the result of the project, which makes some member angry.
