As far as the sources concerned, both the passage and the lecture discuss ecologically sustainable forestry practices. One international organization is busy with certificate which can supply wood companies high ecological standards such as recycling materials. Unlike the reading passege, the speaker states that Americans are searching to benefit this certification.
First, the reading passage says that American cosumers have a lot of add which makes them to not trust in advertising claims in general hence all of them is suggesting that every product is new or improved. The listening passage, however, says that consumers in America cares add and they have confidence in it which is useful to the ecocertification label.
Second, in contrast to author's point of view, the speaker points out that American consumers care price but if there is small difference between the expencive and cheap, they choose the quality not price. However, the lecture goes on to say gain the certificate is costly and American consumers tend to keep lower price than get certificatin.
Third, unlike the speaker, the author states that American consumers do not believe that this will devolop out of USA. They belive that American wood business could purchase their products mostly i America. The professor reject this idea. Ecocertification will help to improve foreign compatation.
