As far as the sources are concerned, both the lecture and the passage discuss the alternative source of energy for cars is the hydrogen-based fuel-cell engine which composes electricity by using hydrogen. All of them is agree that burning oil is harmful for envirement.
Firstly, the reading passage says that petrol is finite source and nowadays oil can end up. On the other hand hydrogen can not be reduced which can get not only several plants but also natural gas and water. The listening passage, however, says that hydrogen can not benifit easily which is not usuful directly. To gain hydrogen needs to poor liquid for which tecnology is very harsh and to product it the weather should be so so cold and which is not convenient and simple.
Secondly, unlike the speaker, the author states that hydrogen-based fuel cells could manage to the world's pollution problems which is not harmfull such as carbon dioxide. The professor rejects this idea. The professor states that to obtain hydrogen requires so much energy which leads to so much pollution.
Thirdly, in contrast to speaker's point of view, the author points outs that fuel-cell engines will be economic hence people will spend fewer money to get fuel-cell engine than the other. The speaker, however, disagrees with this point of view. The professor goes on to say that the materials will be so costly to acquire the electricity
