Usually, animal fossils do not contain any sign about living tissues. Animals living tissues are replaced by minerals naturally. Also, reading passage claim that some scientists found a fossil of T Rex which might contain remains of the dinosaur. On the other hand, the professor has opposing ideas based on the following reasons.
First, reading passage says that there are many channels inside the leg bone which can be the remains of blood vessels. Also, the professor mentions that after a time that an animal dies, bacteria penetrate in bones and colonize there so these channels can be a result of the bacteria colony in bones.
Second, passage claim that some tests reveal the existence of some spheres in the fossil. These spheres had a dark red center and their size is similar to red blood cells so they can be the remains of red blood cells. Although, professor mention that these spheres were found in other animals fossil which does not have any red blood cells so it can have another source. They might be reddish minerals.
Third, the passage says that some tests show that leg bone of dinosaur contains collagen. collagen is a material which makes living tissues so it could be from a bone tissue source. Although, professor says that collagen will decompose after one hundred years so it can not be found in a fossil which is for million years ago. As a result, it would be from another resource. Maybe, it is from the skin of a researcher that excavated it and it can not be a good reason for the existence of the remains of living tissues in fossils.
