Between the year 1350 until 1900CE the earth experienced a kind of ice age. Many parts of the world reached to the unusually cold temperature during the harsh winters and some events of the previous ice age became advent again. The scientist called this era "Little Ice Age". He had three reasons for his claim. But the professor opposed to his view about the causes of the little ice age.

First, According to the passage, disrupting of ocean currents could decrease the temperature during the little ice age. During the unusually warm period before the little ice age a huge amount of glaciers melted and the resulting cold water transformed to the Gulf Stream. Although Gulf Stream disrupted with the addition of cold water but, as the professor mentioned it just could manipulat the wheather of Europe and North America. Scientific evidences shows the whole world experienced this cold weather which consists the southern Africa and Newzeland, so the professor opposed to this claim.

Second, However, the passage claimed that the volcanic eruption could cause the little ice age with its dark clouds of dust and sulfur gas but the professor says the amount of these volcanic eruption products were not enough to affect the whole world and there is no evidence of gray snow or chaning in sunrise.

Finally, Although the human population decreased at the first of the little ice age and a few years before that, but the professor claimed the population increased immediately after a while and the forests which consumed the carbon dioxide decreased and replaced with farms.
