TPO-32 - Integrated Writing Task Starting in the 1960s and continuing until the 1980s, sailors in Russian submarines patrolling the North Alantic and Arctic Ocean would occasionally hear strange sounds. These underwater noises reminded the submarine crews

The reading bring up three theories to explain the resource of strange noise which is heard by Russian crews in submarine. However, the professors states that there is no persuasive evidence of each of author's reason and rejects them.

The reading asserts that the origin of the quack noise are male Acru Whales to attract female Whales. The lecturer refutes this reason by stating that Acru whales lives on the surface of the oceans where the submarines don't patrol in these areas. She adds the Russian sailors in submarine were able to detect and discern the sounds created by Whales.

The lecture argues that giant squids are the source of noise. The lecture, nonetheless, believes that this would be more reliable argument in first view. She think it could not be compelling reason because the noise only continue for two decays and after twenty years it disappeared suddenly but the giant squids continue living.

The reading explain that these sounds maybe due to secret another country submarines. The lecturer rejects this reason by saying that the submarine are slow moving machines and they are not able to generate high pitch sounds like frog croaks. She states that even today there is no advanced submarine to move agile. In addition, he thinks the Russian sonar technology was able definitely to detect the noise engendered by the engine of foreign submarines.
