He states that researchers found pieces of different weights and different densities. For stone balls to be used as a scales they should have standardized weights which is not true for the discovered stones.
Finally, according to the author the carved balls may have been used as a marker to show the social status of their owners. However, the lecturer contends that not all stone ball discovered by archaeologists have the same pattern which makes it not suitable to serve this purpose. Moreover, these stone ball were not found buried in the caves of their owner, a tradition that Neolithic have practiced upon their death.
