The reading passage and the lecture talking about the effectiveness of the cloud seeding in protecting crops from hail which considered very damaging factor to the crops. But the narrator claimed that assessment. Also, he cast a doubt about the three evidences which it mentioned in the reading passage.

First, according to the lab experience the allegation of the script asserts that many experiment done inside the lab supported the concept of adding silver iodide to cold water to get light snow instead of heavy hail pellets. But, the professor opposed that idea by explaining that this experiment could affect in negatively way in real life. Because that will prevent any precipitation of cloud seeding with for instance, snow, rain, and hail. Moreover, will lead to more crops damage due to high drought and lack of water.

Second, evidence from Asia claimed that they successfully used to control precipitation in urban areas and protecting more lands and farms could happen in United States because of cloud seeding. In contrast to the aerator who poses that in Asia weather in urban or cities, they increased the pollution and that will affect the interaction between cloud and seeding chemicals. So, without pollution there is not cloud seeding in United States.

Third, local studies explained that there is reduction in the hail damage when they used the cloud seeding in some farms in the central of U.S comparing to previous years. The lecturer contrivers that by saying that it is nature to decrease the hail in some neighborhood areas and that solely the effective of cloud variation of seed level.
