The article states that dinosaurs were endotherms animals and provides three reasons of support. However, the professor says that Dinosaurs were not considered as endotherms animals and refutes each of the author’s reasons.

First, the reading posits that dinosaur’s fossils have been discovered in polar region. However, the professor says that the Polar Regions were the dinosaur’s fossils discovered were warmer than today during part of the year. The months when the Polar Regions were cold, the dinosaurs could have migrated to warmer area or hibernated.

Second, the reading claims that the legs of all modern endotherms are underneath the body so were the legs of dinosaurs. However, the professor explains that this body structure supports more weight and dinosaurs can grow to a very large size. We don’t have the idea of endothermy and running to explain why dinosaurs have their legs under their bodies.

Third, the reading posits that the presence of Haversian canal in bone is a strong indication that dinosaurs were endotherms animals. The professor refutes this point by stating that the dinosaur’s bones have Haversian canals, but also have growth rings. These growth rings are evidence that dinosaurs stopped growing or grew more slowly during cooler period and this characteristic of animals that are not endotherms.
